El-Sherbiny: Handover of finished units in Obour extension begins Monday

Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, announced that 320 fully finished housing units in the Second District Extension of Obour City will be delivered starting next Monday. The units were reserved on a first-come, first-served basis through the Ministry’s Housing Finance Fund and will be handed over according to the rules and schedule established by the Fund.

The minister stressed the importance of streamlining the handover process and ensuring proper organization, in line with the directives of the political leadership to provide adequate housing within a comprehensive urban strategy. This strategy aims to improve living standards, offer financial and procedural support tailored to the needs of targeted groups, and promote sustainable development and quality of life.

Engineer Hesham Darwish, Advisor to the Ministry, Supervisor of the Construction and Contracting Sector, and Chairman of the Housing Finance Fund, stated that the 320 housing units in the Second District Extension of Obour City were sold in accordance with the published terms and conditions. The units were initially scheduled for delivery in mid-September, but due to accelerated progress, construction was completed ahead of time. In response to citizens' requests and to ease the process, the handover date was brought forward to begin on August 4.

Darwish emphasized the importance of unified efforts and coordination among the Fund’s teams, which have enhanced operational efficiency and contributed significantly to the project’s success. He confirmed that the units will be delivered in accordance with the Fund’s regulations and handover schedule, supporting the broader goal of maximizing the impact of these housing projects and promoting economic and social stability.
