The first job fair achieved notable success, and the second edition is expected to attract broader participation from prominent private sector companies looking to recruit young talent across vital sectors such as information technology, construction, food industries, and international development. In addition to direct employment opportunities, the fair will feature workshops and specialized panel discussions focusing on the latest trends and needs in the job market.
Andreas Rueb, Program Manager for Private Sector Development
at GIZ, expressed his appreciation for the fruitful partnership with Enactus
Egypt. He noted that "'NextGen Onboard' and the job fairs we have
organized over the past two years have been pivotal steps towards empowering
and training Egyptian youth. We are proud of our partnership, which has resulted
in over 250 new job opportunities, with a commitment that 50 percent of these
opportunities are dedicated to empowering women."
Fatma Serry, CEO of Enactus Egypt, expressed her delight at
the ongoing success of the partnership with GIZ. She explained, "'NextGen
Onboard' has been a role model in our commitment to developing youth skills and
potential. Through this partnership, we were able to provide comprehensive
support and guidance to students and graduates by a select group of top
training experts, enabling them to acquire the necessary skills and
successfully integrate into the labor market."
This job fair is held exclusively as part of Enactus Egypt's annual national competition, where students compete by presenting social entrepreneurship projects aimed at solving societal challenges. This provides companies with a unique opportunity to connect with Enactus's most distinguished graduates and students. This program has been implemented over two consecutive years to provide comprehensive support and guidance to students and graduates, effectively linking them with private sector companies.
