Kouchouk urges closer ties with Islamic Trade Finance

Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, affirmed Egypt’s commitment to expanding cooperation that opens broader horizons for the private sector in the development process. He highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen the partnership with the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation in the sectors of health, education, energy, industry, agriculture and infrastructure.

During his meeting with Adeeb Al Aama, Chief Executive Officer of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation, the minister noted that Egypt is working with international partners to achieve inclusive and sustainable development goals. He explained that current fiscal policies are stimulating economic activity through production and export-oriented initiatives, adding that tax and customs incentives are key instruments in supporting investment-driven economic reform.

Adeeb Al Aama confirmed the corporation’s keenness to support efforts aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy, expressing interest in building on the successful cooperation achieved so far as a model for effective development partnership.
