The meeting was attended by Minister of Finance Ahmed
Kouchouk, Minister of Public Business Sector Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister
of Investment and Foreign Trade Engineer Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of
Petroleum and Mineral Resources Engineer Karim Badawi, as well as a number of
officials from relevant authorities.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the meeting reflects the
government’s ongoing commitment to advancing the privatization program and
ensuring the achievement of its targets. He noted that these efforts are
aligned with Egypt’s vision to enhance the private sector’s role, in accordance
with the State Ownership Policy Document.
Cabinet Spokesman Counselor Mohamed El-Homsani stated that
the meeting reviewed the progress made in recent months within the framework of
the privatization program, as well as several measures currently being prepared
for implementation in the coming period.
He added that the ministers also presented updates on the steps taken by their respective ministries to support the program’s implementation, in line with the defined objectives.
