Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy stated
that the meeting took place as part of Likhachev’s visit to Egypt to sign a
supplementary intergovernmental agreement with the Minister of Electricity and
Renewable Energy concerning the construction of the Dabaa nuclear power plant
and its associated physical protection systems. Additionally, the President of
Atomstroyexport and the Chairman of the Nuclear Power Plants Authority signed a
supplementary contract covering construction details, design, procurement, and
implementation.
