FRA reports EGP 384 billion in financing for April 2025

The latest reports from the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) for April 2025 show that the total financing granted through entities supervised by the authority (capital market activities, non-banking financing activities) reached EGP 384 billion.

Key breakdowns of the financing include:

EGP 180.6 billion from stock issuances.

EGP 35.2 billion from non-stock securities issuances.

EGP 52.1 billion from financial leasing contracts.

EGP 31.8 billion in financing for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

EGP 22 billion in consumer financing.

EGP 48.7 billion from discounted bills.

EGP 13.6 billion in real estate financing.

EGP 3.4 trillion for the value of declarations on movable assets, in the movable collaterals registry at the end of April 2025.

EGP 84.9 billion for the outstanding balances of MSME financing at the end of April 2025.

EGP 38.4 billion for total insurance premiums collected at the end of April 2025.

EGP 18.4 billion for total compensation paid by the insurance sector at the end of April 2025.

EGP 8.7 billion for private insurance fund investments at the end of April 2025.

The latest reports from the FRA at the end of April 2025, specifically for the insurance sector, indicated that the total value of insurance premiums was EGP 38.4 billion.

The value of premiums collected for property and liability insurance activities reached EGP 22.1 billion. The value of premiums collected for personal and fund accumulation insurance activities recorded EGP 16.3 billion in April 2025.

The total value of compensation paid by the insurance sector was EGP 18.4 billion at the end of April 2025. The value of compensation paid for property and liability insurance was EGP 8.9 billion. The value of compensation paid for personal and fund accumulation insurance recorded EGP 9.5 billion.

It is worth noting that property and liability insurance refers to insurance against risks to property, such as fire or theft, and insurance for homes, cars, warehouses, goods, and other assets. Personal and fund accumulation insurance refers to life insurance, death insurance, personal accident insurance, and other various types of insurance.
