Shimi is expected to hold several meetings with government officials and representatives of major international companies and institutions to foster economic cooperation and broaden partnership opportunities.
Organized by the Corporate Council on Africa, the summit is
a key annual economic forum for the continent, alternating between African
nations and the United States. It draws leading executives from American and
African private sector companies, investors, and business leaders.
Sessions at the 2025 summit will explore a wide array of avenues to bolster trade, investment, and economic ties between the U.S. and Africa. This year's theme, "Pathways to Prosperity: A Shared Vision for U.S.-Africa Partnership," aims to boost economic exchange, increase trade volumes, and expand investment. Key sectors of focus include infrastructure, health, mining, energy, agriculture, and technology.
