Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Amr Talaat, conducted an inspection visit to the Cairo headquarters of VXI Global Solutions, a leading American company in business process outsourcing (BPO) and comprehensive customer experience solutions. The visit underscored the ministry's commitment to fostering the growth of Egypt's burgeoning outsourcing sector.

During his visit, Dr. Talaat was accompanied by Ryan Collins, Global Chief Operations Officer at VXI, Erica King, Global Chief Human Resources Officer, alongside Ahmed El Zaher, CEO of Egypt's Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), and Ahmed Bahgat, VXI's Vice President for Operations in Egypt, Africa, and the Middle East, in addition to other officials from the ministry and VXI.

The minister reviewed VXI's operations and was briefed by company officials on their expansion plans in the Egyptian market. These plans aim to increase the workforce from over 1,000 employees currently to more than 5,000 by the end of 2028, with total investments projected to reach $135 million.

Dr. Talaat emphasized that the visit is part of the ministry's efforts to strengthen communication with international companies operating in Egypt's outsourcing sector. He highlighted the government's dedication to creating an attractive and stimulating environment for this promising industry, noting that encouraging investment in the BPO sector is a key pillar in enhancing Egypt's position as a preferred destination for global outsourcing companies. He added that Egypt is witnessing continuous expansion in the number of outsourcing centers due to efforts to develop the industry through digital capacity building and incentive provision, which contributes to maximizing Egypt's digital exports and solidifying its status as a global outsourcing hub.

During his tour, Dr. Talaat also engaged with several young employees at VXI, who shared their professional experiences and how they chose careers in outsourcing despite diverse academic backgrounds. They also discussed the skills and practical experience they gained while working at the company.

The minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to empowering youth with the digital skills necessary to secure excellent job opportunities in the outsourcing sector. He pointed out that this sector is among the most promising, offering vast prospects for professional growth and career development, in addition to providing rewarding returns.

Ryan Collins, Global Chief Operations Officer at VXI, commented, "Our expansion in Egypt reflects the tremendous potential of the region, not only for the competitive cost of operations in Egypt but as a hub rich in multilingual talent and strategically located to access European, Middle Eastern, and African markets. The rapid growth we have achieved confirms the excellence and quality of Egyptian competencies and their ability to provide outstanding and scalable customer experience solutions from Cairo."

Ahmed El Zaher, CEO of ITIDA, emphasized that VXI's expansion in Egypt reflects rising international confidence in the Egyptian economy and the strong potential of its outsourcing sector. He described the sector as a rapidly growing source of employment and exports.

El Zaher noted that investments like VXI's support Egypt's goals of boosting digital service exports and increasing the digital economy's GDP contribution. This is achieved by creating specialized jobs and transferring global operational expertise. He attributed Egypt's attractiveness for foreign investment to its stable business environment, robust digital infrastructure, competitive incentives, and a wealth of qualified professionals, solidifying Egypt's role as a global service hub for multinational corporations.

VXI was established in Egypt in December 2023 and began active operations in March 2024. It provides services to clients in Germany, Italy, Spain, France, the Netherlands, and the United States in six different languages.
