The campaign was organized in conjunction with the World Blood Donation Day, which falls on June 14 of each year, as a reflection of AAIB's vision to promote community solidarity, support the health sector, and contribute to achieving the strategic goals of the Egyptian state.
The campaign was held in each of the bank's main center in Garden City in Cairo, and the bank’s branch in Alexandria, where all bank employees from various departments and branches participated. They expressed their keenness to contribute to providing safe blood to patients and needy, and their keenness to support the national health system through voluntary blood donation, which reflects the spirit of solidarity and social responsibility adopted by the bank.
Mr. Tamer Waheed, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the AAIB, stressed that the initiative comes within the bank’s strategy to confirm the concept of social responsibility. He noted that the campaign comes within the framework of our conviction that the role of banking institutions is not limited to providing financial services only, but extends to include the real contribution in supporting the vital sectors in society, foremost of which is the health sector, because of its direct impact on the lives of citizens and the advancement of the health system in Egypt.
This campaign represents an important station in the series of societal initiatives adopted by the bank, which aims to enhance societal cohesion and consolidate the culture of giving, in a way that contributes to providing safe blood to patients and raising awareness of the importance of regular donation, as one of the tributaries of health security in Egypt.
The AAIB affirms through this step its constant commitment to supporting humanitarian and national issues, and continuing its role as a leading development institution that combines banking leadership with societal awareness.
