President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi convened a meeting on Wednesday with Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly. Key officials in attendance were Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Advisor to the President for Urban Planning, and Major General Ahmed El-Azazy, Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority.

Presidential Spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy reported that President Sisi was briefed on the executive status of several development projects and urban development plans in the Northwest Coast. These initiatives aim to enhance investment value and maximize economic return. Key among them are the project to develop and upgrade the Marina Tourist Center, the "Marina 8" project, and the project to develop the archaeological area in Marina, in addition to the strategic master plan for the West Ras El Hekma area and New Alamein City. The President directed that all constructions, utilities, and roads associated with these projects be completed according to the specified timeline.

The President received updates on the advancements of projects underway as part of the first phase of the Hayah Karima (Decent Life) presidential initiative. These projects are integral to the development of the Egyptian countryside, particularly those involving the establishment of water and sanitation infrastructure in targeted villages. His Excellency the President emphasized the necessity of adhering to specified timelines for their completion.

El-Shenawy further added that President Sisi also followed up on the executive status of the strategic plan for seawater desalination. The Minister of Housing reviewed the state's efforts in this field since 2014, highlighting the operational desalination plants in the governorates of Marsa Matrouh, Beheira, South Sinai, Red Sea, Port Said, and Alexandria. Additionally, the Minister outlined five related five-year plans extending until 2050.

The President also received a briefing on proposed operational mechanisms for desalination plants and the establishment of water networks. He underscored the importance of enhancing the efficiency of existing stations to maximize their benefit and ensuring the timely implementation of ongoing projects. Furthermore, His Excellency stressed the necessity of developing a comprehensive vision for future needs and localizing the industry for desalination plant components.

In addition, the President was informed of updates on various Ministry of Housing projects. These included the tenth phase launch of the "Beit El Watan" initiative for Egyptians abroad, government efforts to increase land offerings, and developments regarding the "Your Home in Egypt" initiative. Discussions also covered operating Cairo's public parks, exploring international best practices for managing green spaces, and developing related investment activities. Sisi stressed the need to accelerate project implementation and ensure consistent follow-up for optimal completion and asset maximization.

He further emphasized the necessity of sound governance for resource and asset management, adhering to the highest standards. He directed the enhancement of private sector partnerships, empowering them to contribute effectively to development.
