In reassuring messages to the business community, Kouchouk said that Egypt is working to reduce tax and non-tax obligations for our taxpayer partners by simplifying and facilitating procedures. He noted that there is an ambitious and practical program to reduce non-tax burdens and unify collection agencies.
He added that new packages of "facilitations" will be launched in the next fiscal year to complete the incentive tax path. He noted that we have begun to restore confidence with the tax community, and that the "first package of facilitations" has attracted a large number of new taxpayers. The initial results of the tax facilitation package will be announced at a press conference before the end of the month.
Kouchouk explained that Egypt is an "encouraging" positive
case among the business community and the Tax Authority's leaders and
executives, stressing that the 38% increase in tax revenues over the past ten
months without any new burdens strengthens the "path of trust and
partnership" with the business community.
