Telecom supports customs officers with electronic devices for mobile registration

Sherif El-Kilany, Deputy Minister of Finance for Tax Policies, and Ahmed Amawi,head of the Customs Authority, conducted a field tour for the customs work system at Cairo International Airport, in implementation of the directives of Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, with continuous follow -up with the aim of developing performance and upgrading the level of customs services, to facilitate the customers with the customs system.

Sherif El-Kilany and Ahmed Amawi accompanied by Dr. Maged Moussa, head of the Central Administration of Airport Customs, inspected the customs work system at Terminals 2 and «3», and demanded that workers double their efforts in peak times in order to work on the comfort of passengers.

El-Kilany and Amawi managed a friendly dialogue with a number of Egyptians returning from abroad at Terminals 3 during the electronic registration of their mobile phones, and confirmed the keenness of the Ministry of Finance and the Customs Authority to facilitate and quickly end the customs procedures.

Amawi pointed out that a number of workers have been increased to support the customs work system at the airport, and to ensure the speed and facilitation of the registration of their mobile phones in the electronic application, pointing out that the National Communications Regulatory Authority, supported customs men and provided them with electronic devices necessary to register mobile phones, to facilitate passengers returning from abroad.
