US Ambassador: Egypt reforms boost investor confidence

U.S. Ambassador to Cairo, H.E. Ambassador Herro Mustafa Garg, expressed her hope for a more prosperous future regarding economic and investment relations between Egypt and the United States. She made these remarks during her speech at the opening session of the Egypt-U.S. Policy Leaders Forum, which Egypt is currently hosting.

The U.S. Embassy announced that Ambassador Herro Mustafa Garg "participated today, Sunday, in the U.S.-Egypt Policy Leaders Forum, celebrating the extended commercial partnership between the two countries." She emphasized that "Egypt's ongoing economic reforms, policies, and regulatory adjustments boost investor confidence and create a more attractive environment for American trade and investments, contributing to a more prosperous future for both countries."

The Forum's opening session kicked off with a welcoming speech, followed by remarks from Tarek Tawfik, Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce. Next, Suzanne Clark, CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, delivered her speech, beginning by extending her appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, the Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, the ministers, and members of the American Chamber of Commerce and the U.S.-Egypt Business Council.

During her speech, Suzanne Clark praised the enduring strategic relationship between Egypt and the United States, highlighting the celebration of 100 years of diplomatic ties. She affirmed that the forum's objective is to explore ways to enhance joint cooperation in trade and investment, underscoring the Chamber of Commerce's commitment to supporting these vital trade relations.

John Christmann, CEO of Apache Corporation and Chairman of the U.S.-Egypt Business Council, also delivered a speech during the forum, followed by another speech from Omar Mehanna, Chairman of the Egyptian-American Business Council and newly elected President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt.
