Dr. Alaa Nagy, CEO and Managing Director of the Holding Company for Food Industries, announced the opening of 21 main stalls across various governorates for selling live sheep. This initiative aims to provide citizens with high-quality sacrificial animals at affordable prices. Live sheep are priced at 225 EGP/kgm (live weight), and live cattle at 190 EGP/kgm (live weight).
In addition to the markets, Dr. Farouk has directed the
increase of large quantities of fresh and imported meats, as well as frozen
poultry, to be pumped through the consumer complexes affiliated with the Food
Industries Holding Company and its subsidiaries. This is to meet the needs of
citizens during the Eid period.
Dr. Alaa Nagy confirmed that the Food Industries Holding
Company and its subsidiaries are continuously pumping goods daily and
constantly monitoring sales and operations in all branches of consumer
complexes and markets to ensure the availability of goods in suitable
quantities and at appropriate prices.
The official prices approved by the Food Industries Holding Company include fresh Sudanese meat at EGP 285/kgm, fresh beef at EGP 350/kgm, and fresh buffalo meat at EGP 260/kgm. Meanwhile, the price of frozen meat is EGP 210/kgm. The price of slaughtered local lamb reaches EGP 400/kgm, and frozen lamb is EGP 390/kgm. As for frozen poultry, its price is EGP 110/kgm, and frozen veal shoulder with bone is EGP 190/kgm.
