XinXing officials from China briefed him on their global mega-project experience and their aspirations for collaboration with Egyptian companies and Ministry of Housing entities.
Dr. Ismail emphasized the XinXing factory's significance in localizing the ductile pipe industry. This initiative is vital for numerous national utility and infrastructure projects, as it will reduce import costs by offering competitively priced products. Additionally, the factory aims to export to various African and Arabian Gulf countries.
During the tour, the Deputy Minister and his team observed

and its involvement in major utilities and infrastructure projects. They
explained that the factory, situated on 270,500 square meters within the
TEDA-Egypt industrial developer's zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone,
represents an investment of approximately $150 million. This has created 700
direct and 220 indirect job opportunities. The factory boasts an annual
production capacity of 250,000 tons of ductile pipes up to 2600 mm in diameter,
designed to meet the specific requirements of national projects.
They expressed satisfaction with the factory's first phase and offered well wishes for future stages.
