During the tour, the Minister experienced the BRT firsthand by riding one of the project's buses. The route covered all 14 stations of the first phase: Adly Mansour (a non-standard station), two surface stations on pedestrian bridges (Bahteem and Police Academy), and eleven surface stations in pedestrian tunnels (Alexandria Agricultural, Colonel Ahmed Abdel Rahim, Shubra Banha, Mostorod, El-Khosos, El-Marg, El-Qalg, Moassaset El-Zakat, Lieutenant General Ibrahim El-Oraby, El-Salam, and Suez Road). These 14 stations are part of the entire project's 48 stations across its three phases.
The Minister confirmed the completion of the final preparations for the first phase, ensuring its readiness for public operation in the near future. His review included the bus operation system and the integration between the BRT stations and the existing stops located below the Ring Road. He also assessed passenger accessibility to the BRT stations from these lower stops via pedestrian bridges or tunnels, and the boarding process. Furthermore, the tour encompassed an examination of the waiting areas within the stations, ticket purchasing methods, and the functionality of the electronic gates.
