The inauguration was attended by Engineer Ahmed Youssef, Assistant Minister for Strategic Affairs and Acting CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, Ahmed Nabil, Assistant Minister for Aviation and Follow-up, Suzan Moustafa, Director General of the Tourism Promotion Department at the Authority, and Engineer Marwa Ahmed, Director General of the Exhibitions and Events Department at the Authority.
Sherif Fathy emphasized the importance of the
Ministry's participation in this exhibition, as it provides a good platform for
deepening partnerships and joint tourism cooperation. Furthermore, this
participation is a good opportunity to connect with industry partners to
exchange views and insights and learn about the latest developments in the
tourism industry and its requirements.
He added that this year's participation aligns with the
Ministry's strategy, which focuses on promoting tourism to various tourist
destinations in Egypt and highlighting the tourism diversity that Egyptian tourist
destinations enjoy, including unparalleled components, products, and tourism
styles in the world. He also emphasized the importance of the Ministry's
participation in this exhibition. The exhibition focused on investment
opportunities in the tourism sector, particularly in the hotel sector, in
addition to promoting the Grand Egyptian Museum and its official opening
scheduled for July 3.
The Egyptian pavilion witnessed a large turnout on the
first day of the exhibition, both for professional meetings with
representatives of Egyptian tourism companies and hotel establishments, and to
view the pavilion and enjoy the interactive activities and films highlighting
the diverse features of the Egyptian tourist destination.
It is worth noting that ATM 2025 is one of the largest international professional tourism and travel exhibitions in the Middle East, targeting the Arab market. It is attended annually by a large number of professionals, tourism companies, hotel establishments, and airlines from around the world, as well as representatives of international and Arab media specializing in tourism and travel. More than 47,000 visitors are expected to visit the exhibition.
