Farouk: Sugar in consumer complexes at EGP 30/kilo

Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, confirmed the availability of large quantities of sugar in all branches of the Holding Company for Food Industries' consumer complexes across the country. This is part of the ministry's efforts to provide basic commodities to citizens at fair prices.
Farouk indicated that sugar is being offered in
consumer complexes at a price of EGP 30/kilo, stressing that the strategic
stock of sugar is safe and sufficient for long periods, and that there is no crisis
in supply.
He added that the ministry monitors the supply of basic
commodities on a daily basis to ensure market stability and meet citizens'
needs.
