Kouchouk added, during the first meeting with social media influencers, organized by the Ministry of Finance's Social Media Unit, headed by Yousra El-Kammah, that the "main concern" is expanding the tax base by encouraging "voluntary compliance" to attract new taxpayers. The greater the number of taxpayers, the greater the ability to facilitate tax procedures for everyone.
He said, "The conviction and enthusiasm of my
colleagues in the Tax Authority... give hope for the success of our initiative
with our taxpayer partners." He explained that the country and the economy
require the concerted efforts of all the people, and that the media has a very
influential role in building tax awareness.”
The social media influencers who participated in this
meeting expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Finance,
saying, "The Minister listened to us and answered our questions, helping
us understand the philosophy of the new tax path. We will provide a
comprehensive explanation to social media users about the new image of taxes"
