Jackson held a meeting with representatives of major Danish companies operating in the Egyptian market, across a number of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, food, agricultural products, energy, transportation, shipping, mining, cement, and software. The meeting reviewed potential areas of cooperation between Danish companies and companies affiliated with the Ministry of Public Business Sector in a number of fields. The meeting was attended by Dr. Hanzada Farid, Senior Commercial Advisor and Regional Director of the Energy Sector at the Embassy.
Shimi stressed the depth and strength of relations between Egypt and
Denmark, and the remarkable development they have witnessed, especially with
the elevation of relations between the two friendly countries to the level of
strategic partnership. He hailed the cooperation with Danish companies, noting
the availability of many promising investment opportunities within the
Ministry's subsidiaries in various sectors. This is part of the ongoing development
and modernization plans to improve performance and management, and enhance
productivity and competitiveness.
He also emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and
benefiting from Denmark's advanced experience in a number of fields. This will contribute
to supporting industrial and technological transformation plans, opening new
horizons for sustainable partnerships with the local and international private
sector, and attracting more investments, which will contribute to supporting
the national economy and achieving sustainable development.
Jackson expressed his country's aspiration to strengthen cooperation with Egypt, pointing to the visit of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Denmark at the end of last year, which elevated relations between Egypt and Denmark to the level of strategic partnership. He stressed the interest of Danish companies in expanding their investments in the Egyptian market, given its significant potential and attractive strategic location.
