El-Ashry stressed the importance of cooperation between the Cairo Chamber of Commerce and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry to strengthen Egyptian-French trade and investment relations. He noted the importance of leveraging the meeting between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and French President Emmanuel Macron to further strengthen the distinguished relations between the two countries in various fields, including the economic field.
He stressed that this visit will be a strong impetus for increasing
cooperation between the business community in the two countries. Some of the
agreements concluded between the Egyptian and French governments in various
fields, including transportation, industry, solar energy, and other areas,
represent an important step towards strengthening the distinguished bilateral
relations.
El-Ashry proposed studying the signing of a joint cooperation
protocol between the two chambers to provide more data and information on the
two countries' markets and available investments, and work to leverage these
resources. He also suggested organizing workshops and bilateral meetings on the
ground to achieve rapid results in developing and strengthening bilateral
economic relations.
El-Sonbaty emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two chambers to support Egyptian-French bilateral economic relations in the coming period in various fields He said that they will focus on strategic industries, and that the private sector has an important role in developing bilateral economic relations and increasing investments, and paying attention to small and medium-sized enterprises alongside major projects to support sustainable development, pointing to the importance of intensifying meetings and communication between the two chambers in the next stage in order to develop Egyptian-French economic relations.
