Madbouly stated that assignments have been issued to the specialists in the concerned authorities to overcome all obstacles and provide all necessary facilities to complete these projects according to the set timelines and hand them over.
During a meeting at the New Alamein City authority
headquarters this morning, at the start of his inspection tour of New Alamein
City and the Northwest Coast, Madbouly stated that concerned authorities have
been tasked with overcoming obstacles and providing necessary facilities to
ensure project completion according to schedule. The meeting, attended by
Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Engineer Sherif
El-Sherbiny and other ministry officials, focused on reviewing the progress of
various development projects in the region.
The Prime Minister emphasized the state's significant focus
on New Alamein City as a fourth-generation city, highlighting its role as
Egypt's coastal capital and the nucleus of the Northwest Coast development
plan. He noted the ongoing implementation of numerous major multi-use projects
within the city, encompassing residential, commercial, service, administrative,
tourism, and cultural sectors.
During the meeting, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and
Urban Communities Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny detailed the progress of the
ministry's multi-level housing projects in New Alamein City's first and second
phases. He highlighted the completion and operational status of essential
service buildings in the second phase, including two mosques, a church, a basic
education school, a nursery, a five-a-side football field, a real estate
registry office, and the first phase of Alamein National University. Several
other service buildings, such as a family medicine center, schools, and
nurseries, are currently under construction.
Regarding utility networks, the Minister affirmed the
completion of all remaining works, including electricity, water, sanitation,
irrigation, and rainwater drainage networks, and their connection to the
completed and operational projects, which are now ready for use. He also stated
that the remaining road network works for the city's first phase are finished,
and landscaping is nearing completion, with a target for full completion before
next June.
El-Sherbiny stated the aim to establish an educational
identity for the city through collaboration with existing universities and by
attracting new ones. He also highlighted the goal of attracting medical tourism
via distinguished medical facilities.
During the meeting, Dr. Madbouly also reviewed the progress
of the Tourism Villages Authority projects, including the status of housing
projects like Marina 8 (M8) and M8 By The Lake, as well as the Bogaz New Marina
Lakes project within the marine connection initiatives. The meeting also
covered the progress of the strategic plan for the Marina Alamein tourist
center and the ongoing project to develop the archaeological area in
collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. Additionally, the
executive status of the efficiency improvement and development works at the
Marina Alamein center was noted.
The Prime Minister also followed up on the progress of work
and land handover in the first phase of the New Ras El Hekma area, as well as
ongoing projects there. He also reviewed the latest developments in road and
utility works (including road, water, sanitation, and electricity) for the
alternative lands in the urgent phase of the "Shams El Hekma" area,
which are allocated to current residents of Ras El Hekma City. The planned
alternative area will include residential, service, commercial, and investment
zones, along with the main road network.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister reviewed the latest land
development works by the New Urban Communities Authority in the new urban
cluster west of El Dabaa, including alternative lands and financial
compensations for current residents. He also reviewed the status of land
handover and the area's plan, as well as the executive status of utility works
for the project, which aims to implement a fully serviced urban community with
service areas for residents and regional investment areas along the coastal
road.
The Prime Minister also reviewed future development proposals and plans for the western Ras El Hekma sector, as well as the status of entities on the land slated for development. In this regard, the Minister was instructed to coordinate a meeting with the entities and companies operating in that area to discuss the execution status of their works, aiming to maximize the benefit and future development of these areas for optimal land utilization in the region.
