Talaat continued, during a press conference following the weekly government meeting, in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, that the communications and information technology sector is achieving renaissance and creating more job opportunities at the local and international levels.
He added that the communications sector in Egypt was
initially limited to specialists only, but now it is a job opportunity for all
specialties and anyone interested in this fast-growing field.
He confirmed that the Digital Pioneers Initiative is
available to all young men and women who wish to pursue a career in
communications, regardless of their profession or sector. He commented,
"Anyone who has a desire is welcome... We will support anyone who sees
themselves in this field on their journey."
Talaat stated that those wishing to register must fill out an application form and specify their appropriate specialization, explaining that there are multiple specializations in the fields of programming science, data analysis, and artificial intelligence. He added that the trainee's dream job is also identified, followed by a test to determine their starting point and assess their qualifications. He commented, "Even if they have zero experience, we will start from scratch." The Digital Pioneers Initiative is available to everyone, free of charge, and is borne by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Tahya Misr Initiative.
He added that the initiative offers a number of training courses to build technical skills, in collaboration with local and international companies to receive trainees after the completion of their studies for practical training at local and international companies. The language skills are provided, along with language learning, to qualify them to work with international companies. They also provide training in leadership, communication, negotiation, culture, history, presentation skills, and remote work, in addition to time management.
The Minister stated that the training requires full dedication and complete flexibility to choose from four tracks. There is an intensive four-month course, and a one- or two-year master's degree. The target is to train 5,000 trainees annually.
