This meeting reflects the Ministry's commitment to monitoring the progress of its various affiliated bodies, particularly the authority responsible for the management, maintenance, and preservation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' overseas properties, including embassies, consulates, and offices.
During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the critical
importance of intensifying efforts to maintain the overall appearance of
Egyptian embassies and consulates abroad, recognizing them as national assets.
He underscored the need to safeguard these overseas real estate holdings, as
they belong to the state and project Egypt's prestige and image to the world.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also stressed the
significance of developing plans and programs aimed at enhancing, upgrading,
and maintaining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' overseas buildings in a manner
befitting Egypt's regional and international stature.
In this context, he received a detailed presentation from the Foreign Ministry's Overseas Buildings Funding Authority Board on the progress of their ongoing projects. These projects involve the establishment, renovation, and maintenance of various Egyptian missions' buildings internationally. He stressed the importance of balancing high-quality work, to project a positive image, with cost-effectiveness, aiming to maximize and preserve the value of the state's foreign assets efficiently.
