The official spokesperson for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, reported that a recent meeting reviewed the progress of several transportation projects in Egypt being carried out by a French company. Discussions also covered efforts to localize railway industries and the latest on the establishment of the "Alstom" industrial complex in Borg El Arab city. This complex will house two factories: one for the production of electrical systems and railway components, and another for the production of various types of rolling stock, aiming to serve both the local market and exports to the Middle East and Africa.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed updates on the Cairo
Metro Line 6 project, part of the initiative to expand sustainable green mass
transportation and complete the metro network for improved citizen services.
Finally, the ongoing discussions regarding the management, operation, and
maintenance of the East and West Nile monorail project were also reviewed.
El-Shenawy clarified that the President stressed the importance of completing all the discussed projects on schedule to realize the state's vision for transportation sector development and industrial localization.
