Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, held a meeting with a delegation from the Chinese Deli Group, specializing in the manufacturing of tools and equipment, led by Huang Qingjie, the company's General Manager. The meeting was attended by Dr. Nahed Youssef, Head of the Industrial Development Authority, Mahmoud El-Mihy, Regional Director of the Chinese Deli Group for North and West Africa, and several leaders from the Ministry of Industry.

The group presented their plan to establish a 160,000 square meter industrial complex in the 10th of Ramadan industrial zone. This $200 million investment is projected to create 2,200 jobs. The complex will replicate the model of their Chinese and international factories, producing over 12,000 product lines, including office and school supplies, printing machines, sports equipment, tools, and office furniture. The group is a leading Chinese brand in these sectors.

The Minister emphasized Egypt's openness to industrial cooperation with serious foreign companies. The Ministry of Industry pledged full support to expedite the project's establishment and production, aiming to serve the Egyptian market and export. This includes streamlined land allocation and industrial licensing. The Minister also guaranteed the completion of all industrial utilities to the land boundary in tandem with the complex's construction.

A preliminary timeline was agreed upon for the company to receive the industrial land, complete the design, and finish construction. The Minister mandated strict adherence to this timeline for on-schedule production.

Engineer Kamel El-Wazir highlighted the 10th of Ramadan industrial zone's strategic importance. Its location, connected to major roads like the Geneifa Road (Cairo-Suez), and its proximity to the 10th of Ramadan city's dry port and logistics area, provide a significant competitive advantage for both domestic and international market access.

Company officials lauded Egypt's improved investment climate, citing recent government initiatives. They specifically praised the unified factory inspection committee, various facilities and incentives, and the speed of completing tasks. Furthermore, they commended the decision regulating industrial land transactions, requiring full payment, operational licensing, and three years of operation before disposal.

This decision has helped ensure that industrial lands reach deserving serious investors and has curbed the activities of intermediaries and land brokers.
