Egyptian pound plunges against US dollar

The Egyptian pound depreciated sharply against the US dollar today, Monday, losing approximately 70 piasters to trade at 49.5 pounds per dollar. This decline is primarily attributed to foreign investors withdrawing from treasury bill investments amid growing regional geopolitical tensions.

Buying: EGP 49.37 - Selling: EGP 49.47, an increase of 67 piasters compared to yesterday's closing.

Banque du Caire:

Buying: EGP 49.35 - Selling: EGP 49.45, an increase of 65 piasters compared to yesterday's closing.

Cairo Bank:

Buying: EGP 49.37 - Selling: EGP 49.47, an increase of 67 piasters compared to yesterday's closing.

Commercial International Bank (CIB):

Buying: EGP 49.40 - Selling: EGP 49.50, an increase of 70 piasters compared to yesterday's closing.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank:

Buying: EGP 49.45 - Selling: EGP 49.55, an increase of 68 piasters compared to yesterday's closing.
